Number Plates

What is a Personalized Number Plate (Slogan)?

A Personal Number Plate (Slogan) is a combination of letters and/or numbers which represent something personal for the person buying the number plate (Slogan). Every Country, State, Province or Kingdom has their own rules and regulations on how these number plate slogans can be represented. They are also categorized with the following names around the world:

Vanity Plate, Personalized Plate (United States); Prestige PlatePrivate Number PlateCherished Plate or Personalised Registration (United Kingdom); Personalised Plate (Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom) or Custom Plate (Australia and New Zealand) Vehicle Registration Plate.

Why are Number Plates (Slogans) so expensive?

Every number plate slogan in a Country, State, Province or Kingdom is unique. They are unique because governments need to identify who owns a vehicle, as every vehicle has a unique number plate.

In certain countries there are also older Number Plate Slogans which cannot be placed on vehicles because of their age, so these plates increase in value as they are not issued anymore.

So as these number plate slogans are unique, this creates an increasing demand for Personal Number Plate Slogans.

Where can I buy a Personalized Number Plate (Slogan) from?

Personal Number plates can be bought from your local government direct or from Number Plate Dealers if the number plate you require has already been purchased.

The NumberPlates.Auction platform provides Private Individuals, Number Plate dealers or Governments to advertise their stock of Personalised Number Plate Slogans easily and efficiently.

Are Personal Number Plates a good investment?

The only thing on your vehicle which goes up in value is your Personal Number Plate Slogan (unless the vehicle is a classic car or only a few were ever made)

Over the years Personal Number Plate Slogans have increased in popularity and so has the amount, that people will pay for them. Personal Number Plate Slogans will always be a great investment as long as the population in the Country, State, Province or Kingdom in which you bought is increasing. As when the demand increases, so does the value of the investment.

Escrow Service (NumberPlates.Auction is partnered Escrow.com)

What is Escrow?

An escrow is a financial arrangement where a third party holds and regulates payment of the funds required for two parties involved in a given transaction. It helps make transactions more secure by keeping the payment in a secure escrow account which is only released when all of the terms of an agreement are met as overseen by the escrow company.

Escrows are very useful in the case of a transaction where a large amount of money is involved and a certain number of obligations need to be fulfilled before a payment is released. While traditional escrow service is quite difficult and must be obtained through banks and lawyers, Escrow.com provides online escrow services at affordable rates. While the payment is 'In Escrow' the transaction can be safely carried out without risk of losing money or merchandise due to fraud. This eliminates all legal jargon and allows for secure transactions and confident buyers and sellers.

Is Escrow secure?

Escrow.com's step-by-step Escrow process ensures fraud protection for both Buyers and Sellers all over the globe. Every step in your transaction is verified with proven tracking and verification procedures.

Not only that, we are a licensed and government regulated escrow service. This means we are audited regularly by multiple government bodies. So, you can be sure our protection process prevents Buyer and Seller fraud with each and every transaction.

Escrow shields both Buyers and Sellers with every step

All payments by the Buyer are verified as "good funds" before the Seller is instructed to ship

All shipments are tracked to ensure the Seller shipped and the Buyer received the merchandise

If the merchandise is fraudulent, it gives the Buyer the chance to return the merchandise before payment is released to the Seller

That's right - completing online transactions with Escrow.com is that simple, safe and secure. And whether you're a Buyer or Seller, the control is in your hands.
